Who We Are

Jeffrey Lehman, President & CEO, OBN Aviation, Inc.

During his 43-year career in transportation and related industries, Mr. Lehman has held several senior P&L positions in operations, sales, marketing, market and operations research, advertising, sales promotion and public relations.

At Emery Air Freight, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, he was director of administration and finance, and later became the company’s director of marketing, sales and public relations for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India. He was vice president for international marketing and sales for AEI (now Deutsche Post). He led marketing and sales operations for the Prudential Lines and Aspen Steamship companies, serving the Mediterranean Sea and the Arabian Gulf.

As vice president of Lockheed Corporation’s air terminal company, he managed the reconstruction of Stewart International Airport, NY, formerly Stewart Air Force Base, as a center for commercial and military operations. Before beginning his consulting career, he was senior vice president and general manager of Mid-Pacific Air Corporation, an all-cargo airline. For the past 16 years, he has been a senior-level consultant to government and corporate organizations in logistics, logistics security, product development and other activities that intersect with technology markets in military and commercial sectors.

General Carl W. Stiner, US Army (Retired)

During his 35-year military career, General Stiner commanded the Army’s preeminent contingency strike forces, including the Joint Special Operations Command, the 82nd Airborne Division and the XVIII Airborne Corps.

He participated in the mission to capture the terrorists who carried out the Achille Lauro hijacking, and he commanded all forces in the Panama invasion and the capture of Manuel Noriega. His last assignment was as commander of the US Special Operations Command, or SOCOM, which included all US special operations forces. He is currently a Senior Fellow/Mentor for the CAPSTONE and PINNACLE course to train and educate the senior US military leadership. He is a member of advisory organizations across the defense and commercial sectors.

Lieutenant General Daniel R. Schroeder, US Army (Retired)

General Schroeder is a senior mentor for the Joint Forces Staff College, a senior advisor to the J-9 (Innovation and Experimentation Programs), Joint Forces Command, and a consultant to Defense and Army Science boards.

During his Army career, he was Deputy Commander-in-Chief, US Army Europe, and Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army for Operations. He commanded two Joint Task Forces on contingency operations. Following his military career, he was senior vice president for modeling, simulation and technology with LORAL Federal Systems, later part of Lockheed Martin Corporation. He is a member of the board of the University of North Florida’s Taylor Institute of Engineering, and he provides senior-level consulting services to several corporations.

Lieutenant General Gary H. Mears, US Air Force (Retired)

At retirement from the Air Force, General Mears was the Director of Logistics for the Joint Staff. He also served as the Vice Director of Logistics, a tour in which he was the principal logistician to General Colin Powell and Defense Secretary Richard Cheney for the deployment and employment phases of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He served nearly 5 years on the Joint Staff.

Following military retirement, he was the Vice President of Business Development for the C-17 airlift aircraft program at McDonnell Douglas, and was the President and CEO of Eckerd Youth Alternatives, a not-for-profit organization that conducts programs for troubled children. He consults on matters related to and expertise in business development, program management and defense logistics and transportation.

Major General Marvin Jay Barry, US Air Force (Retired)

General Barry has a 35-year record of proven success in his military and civilian careers. The Defense Department has recognized him as a subject matter expert in laser eye protection and the operational use of directed-energy weapons. He is a senior consultant on a variety of military and civilian issues, including studies of countermeasures against man-portable air defense systems, and of operations by civilian aircraft into hostile environments.

General Barry's military assignments included the reserve assistant to the commander of the Air Force Reserve, chairman of the Air Reserve Forces Policy Committee, director of the Pentagon's Air Force Crisis Action Team, and chairman of the DOD Laser Eye Protection Task Force. He personally orchestrated an Office of the Secretary of Defense technology-sharing policy with civilian agencies that set a standard for cooperation in the Global War on Terrorism.

He holds a BS degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and an MBA degree from the University of Utah School of Business. He is a Viet Nam and Desert Storm combat veteran with 5,000 hours of military flight time and more than 15,000 flight hours in the civilian airline environment.
